Interesting read, but could be written more professionally.,

This book is a little amateurish in its writing style, which at times is a little bit laboured, especially when the first person narrator tries to describe her train of thoughts or emotions.
Having said that, the subject matter is interesting, and gives an insight into the Black Indians of New Orleans, as well as the Klu Klux Klan and the Jim Crow laws. If you are interested in these themes, it is worth reading, with a storyline that is engaging if not always fully plausible.
