Product not suitable for Ireland,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: DrayTek Vigor 120 - DSL modem - external - Fast Ethernet [PC] (Personal Computers)
Despite loads of help from everyone plus Eircom this product failed to live up to my exceptions, would not refer to anyone living in Ireland.

Can you go into some detail on why you wouldn't recommend this to Irish residents?

Conn Clissmann says:
We run a business in Dublin, Ireland and bought one of these, as I have been happy with Draytek product for years. Like Steve, I was frustrated by the box, unable to get it going.
Before selling it off at a loss, I tried one last thing - I downloaded the Vigor120_V2_v3.2.6_AnnexA__STDset firmware from the Draytek[dot]com site - it has 321311 in the title and is top of the list. (Note - the UK uses the firmware with 332201 in the title.) I set the Vigor 120 to bridge mode, selected PPPoE, set VPI=8, VCI=35 and selected LLC/SNAP. It all just worked. In bridge mode, the PPPoE is passed through to our ZyWall router - just as we wished for.
On a final note - When we could not configure the Vigor 120, in frustration we got a TP-Link td-8817 to work wonderfully in bridge mode, also passing PPPoE is through to our ZyWall router. No need to change the firmware, worked right out of the box, with change out of £15. Recommended.
