Using this felt lovely and cooling on my eyes at first, but alas my eyes became angry and red. My doctor suggested I use only hot water to cleanse eyes until it had settled again. I.e no baby shampoo, no lotions etc, Less sore after a few weeks with just water but still red and wrinkly old looking :-(

I am a dry specialist in Hampshire. Our patients with Dry Eye and MGD usually find Blephasol very effective even those with dry Eyes as an eyelid cleaner that is excellent for helping to unblock waxed up meibomian glands especially if following a hot compress beforehand and an Eyespack cold compress afterwards. Patients with a blepharitis component would probably do better to use Sterilid foam cleaner or Sterilid Gel cleaner as these products are antibacterial containg an extract of tea tree oil. Theratears Nutrition supplement helps the body produce good meibomian oils and theratears eyedrops helps the mucous secretions. I hope this helps, Andrew Matheson. dryeyeforum.co.uk
