1.0 out of 5 stars The DVD leaves a whole lot to be desired, 24 Oct 2003
This review is from: Friends: Complete Season 1 - New Edition [DVD] [1995] (DVD)
As an avid Friends fan, who has followed the series from the word go and has grown obsessed with all the gigs, stunts, one-liners and other shenanigans of the gang, I feel that I have to register a complaint, or rather a protest. The DVDs offer good quality picture and sound, but there is so much a Friend-aholic is left to desire: no or very little extras are included in the disks. One would wish to see: meaningful interviews, director and actor commentaries, behind the scenes footage (most desirable) or at least those documentaries shown in American television (like, for instance, "Friends: what you have never seen"). It feels like a sacrilege to me (!) to give just one star to, arguably, the best comedy series that has ever come out of American television so far (only Happy Days, Cheers and perhaps Seinfeld come close), but still the voice of the disillusioned spectator has to be heard at some point. Friends of Friends of the world unite!

It's not 'sacrilege'. The word you are looking for is 'dumb'.
