Very Dirty and Very Funny,

The references to Tom Sharpe are what attracted me to this book and I can see the comparisons, although Connell does have a style of his own creeping through.
I generally can't get on with novels written in the first person but the style of this book is more of an autobiography, albeit fictional, which made it a bit easier once I got into the book.
I won't go over the synopsis again as the preamble and other reviewers have this covered but suffice it to say that I found plenty to laugh about and plenty to empathise with.
