A good remix of a 'lost' story,
This review is from: Shada (Doctor Who) (Audio CD)
If you're a fan then you know this was a cancelled show originally for Tom Baker which was 'lost' due to a strike. Remade with Paul McGann this is a decent story about a Cambridge don, mystery books and Shada itself.
If you've read Dirk Gently then a lot of the material is very familiar but there is more to it, along with some decent twists (no spolers here).
On the downside Romana has little to do until the end, K9 is very marginal, and the plot adds too many minor characters (Cambridge students / researchers) to keep tight. It is though a triumph of audio and I am sure that had the story been made at the time budgets may well have lessened the impact.
The pictures are better on the radio so to speak
