This review is from: The Baptist: A Psychological Thriller (Kindle Edition)
Psychological Thriller? I love a good psychological thriller and I was tempted into getting this by the description of a man committed to a mental institution after killing his brother. Well to be fair, the first couple of chapters did hold my attention and intrigued me sufficiently to read on; but sadly, in my opinion, the story then seems to lose the plot. It meanders, apparently aimlessly, through the maze of Baptist's encounters after he leaves said institution, and you are left asking what the point of all this is.
Clearly the story is told from the perspective of someone's who's mentally ill (which in itself could be fascinating); but sorry - I just found this book boring. So much so that I've put it aside to read something else. I may go back and finish it one day - maybe sometime when sleep is eluding me. I'm sure it'll do the trick.
