4.0 out of 5 stars Watching it all again, 24 May 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Fringe - The Complete Series 1-5 [Blu-ray] [2013] (Blu-ray)
Fringe is well known so ill settle for describing the product offering rather than the programme itself. Firstly the set is well packaged as others have said. The video quality of the blueray is very good but you wont be using it to show off your new HDTV. The sound is good but only Dolby digital rather than the better Dolby truhd but perhaps to be expected since this is TV rather than a film. Only real problem is the navigation. I've watched two discs and the title is sometimes not selectable from the menu. So if you want episode three, for example, you have to scan through episode one and two first. It's not a huge problem but a problem for me nevertheless. For the price paid, <50, this is a real bargain.

Are you sure that's not a firmware/player issue?
I have watched the first four disc, and always selected the single episode from the menu.

I've got the latest firmware on my player, Denon 3313, but will try it with other players tomorrow.

I have the latest FW. It affects series one. So far series two and three are ok.

Currently renting Fringe from Lovefilm and had the same problem with first 2 series, my bluray player's software being up to date, I made a note of which chapter at the start of next program and used a menu to go to it. Annoyingly long winded but not a problem.
