Yes, this is a great album - but how the hell does it cost £140?? It's on sale in the States at $120, that's about £84 - so how come we in the UK get to pay nearly double for the same product? Let's look at the evidence: Gish reissue (2 CDs + 1 DVD) currently £20, Siamese Dream reissue (2 CDs + 1 DVD) currently £18, Pisces Iscariot reissue (2CDs + 1 DVD) currently £28. Mellon Collie (5 CDs + 1 DVD) £140. Yeah, that adds up. Taking Pisces Iscariot as a guide that's about £40 per extra CD. How is this justified?? To me it looks like someone at the record company entered the wrong numbers in the initial spreadsheet and now won't fess up. There is no way this should be as expensive as it is and I'd urge all Pumpkin fans who, like me, would love to have a copy of this reissue (and yes, I've got the other three) not to buy this. If the sales fall flat maybe they'll realise that this is pricing gone mad and reprice it sensibly. I mean, for £140 I expect Billy to came and play the album to me in my front room! So yes, it's a great album, yes the extra CDs and the DVD add a huge amount to the package, but it's just waaay too expensive and compared wth US prices shows us in the UK being completely ripped off. Billy: you need to sort this out!
