This review is from: Enigma: The Battle for the Code (Hardcover)
This is an excellent read. It emphasises the work done by Allied agents and servicemen and women who risked and or lost their lives in order to make sure Bletchley Park were continuously supplied with enough intelligence in order to continue to crack the German Enigma codes. It really opened my eyes to the forgotten risks of these people. It describes the dread that Germany would sooner or later realise the code was broken and use a new system but by a mixture of some intelligence, sheer luck, some UK, USA and German incompetence combined - that didn't happen.
