Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Fifty Years in Polygamy: Big Secrets and Little White Lies (Kindle Edition)
Bought this by pressing the wrong button and not correcting it in time. Hate all the plethora of "kiss and tell abuse/incest" books that seem to rate so highly in the rankings, having worked with the reality.
Whilst I am sorry about and sad for any victims, I hope they find some sort of catharsis, peace, hope or value in their lives having shared it with the world at large.
The theme of this book is one of acceptance of polygamy as one of the requirements of a particular religion/creed, which is passed down through the generations, regardless of "modern life".
Honestly told with some humour.
What has been done over time and in the present day in the name of religion or cultural belief whatever the faith or creed leads me to believe that we have learnt nothing about supporting those who are being or have been abused in the name of religion or culture. Wherever they may live, in the so called "free world".
How sad is that?
