Accurate Tyre Pressure Readings at Last,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Michelin Digital Tyre Pressure Gauge (Automotive)I have tried several mechanical pressure guages over the years and consistently found them inaccurate and inconsistent so I thought I'd go the whole hog and get this Michelin digital unit which was top of the Which? Best Buy table for tyre guages.
It was reasonably easy to set up but at first, not wishing to programme the front and rear pressures for my car, the unit kept defaulting to psi after I changed units to Bar. The instructions were of no help here and I eventually found that if I did programme the recommended tyre pressures the pressure units were programmed along with them so now Bar is the default unit. It's very easy to use but to get a good seal on the tyre valve is at first not easy but you soon get the hang of it. The semi-hard case is good quality and a nice addition to a very robust digital guage.
As I drive 2 or 3 times a year to Spain (1500 miles one way) and extensively in Spain it gives me peace of mind knowing that I can accurately ensure that my tyre pressures are as they should be. The guage may appear to be somewhat pricey but when it comes to an important (both in safety and economy) thing like tyre pressures a few extra £ for long term assurance is more than worth it.
