English or American English?!,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Adobe Photoshop CS5 for Photographers: A professional image editor's guide to the creative use of Photoshop for the Macintosh and PC (Paperback)
However good this book may be (and it appears to be) I find the American English spelling used throughout to be extremely grating and very irritating, references to the actual CS program (sic) itself is understandable, the rest just lazy, it's basically assuming that even though the author, Martin Evening is British if he wrote it in British English that North Americans would not understand it, which is both insulting and ridiculous. The edition I bought from Amazon appears to be a wholly North American version, it even has the price on the back in U.S dollars, I would have preferred a British version if one exists. It does look though that the original publishers, Focal Press based in Oxford have been bought by a U.S publisher so which be why we only get this version. Apart from that Martin Evening's writing and approach is as good as previous editions in the series.
