Mostly bad and very bad.,
This review is from: Big Train : Complete BBC Series 1 & 2 [DVD] (DVD)
There are a few good moments but nothing outstanding, nothing laugh out loud and nothing very intelligent really. What is left are mainly weak, lazy, obvious, paper thin or just weird for the sake of it sketches. Like: 2 beefeaters hold hands (that's it!), a man shrinks in the desert and then grows back too big, the Chancellor addresses the nation with a duck in front of him instead of a dog, a surgeon interrupts an operation to go outside and keep some plates spinning, a taxi firm that walks you home instead. These are not funny ideas. The cast do a heroic job in the circumstances. I can't believe it's the same guys who wrote the brilliant Father Ted.

It's a shame I laughed at some of the things you mentioned as not being funny, and I haven't even seen them.

Mr. M. Brown says:
I didn't like the beafeater sketch either but I'm yet to see a perfect sketch show. I take it you didn't like the "you fat handed t#@t" sketch? Either way, I urge you to give it another chance as it's eons ahead of Father Ted.
