This review is from: Weeping Walls (Kindle Edition)
This is the sequel to Keepers of the Cave - not much point reading it if you haven't read that one first - which is not nearly as good as this one, even though it is one of her best.
CJ and Paige's story, despite all its supernatural-ted-ness (is that even a word? Or even close to one? Anyway...), their story is the most real one of all of Gerri's books (and I have read them ALL). The progress of their development is real, is what you expect in real life. There's unsaid words, there's discovering where you stand and how you feel about someone else. And it's refreshing to see something that you can truly relate to in a les-fic book.
And, on top of that, there's a really creepy story - there was a monster last time, there are more unusual things in this novel, and because there's no beating around the bush (will they get together, will they not get together?) and we already know the main characters, it really is the main story that takes centre stage: well developed, with a solid plot.
Not only that, I was truly scared, bordering terrified at times. As a true supernatural story should be. I couldn't put it down.
One of Gerri Hill's best books of late. Would definitely recommend it.
