Another fab read from Melissa Foster,
This review is from: Bursting with Love (Love in Bloom: The Bradens, Book 5) Contemporary Romance (Love in Bloom: The Bradens) (Kindle Edition)
In Bursting with Love we meet Savannah, the sole girl in the Braden family who's had to be a tough cookie to survive in a household full of men, and Jack Remington, the first member of the new family in the Love in Bloom series.
After finally calling it a day with her on/off boyfriend Connor she decides to take some time out and signs up for a survivor weekend in the mountains. Jack Remington has shut himself away from the world following the death of his wife running camp survival weekends in the middle of nowhere. So the last thing either of them expected was the magnetic pull that they feel when they meet, something they both try their best to ignore as neither are ready for a new relationship at this time...
This was such an emotionally driven story as we see Jack conflicted and struggling to deal with mixed emotions, he's still trying to come to terms with his guilt over the death of his wife but now he's also having to deal with his feelings towards Savannah.
It was also great to finally get to know who Savannah really is, as we've only seen glimpses of her in the previous books in the series, as she struggles to deal with her emotions towards Jack and her desire to help him reunite with his family. She's used to being the strong one, both in her family and at work, so isn't used to feeling so out of control.
I love the way that these stories can be read as part of a series, as I have done having read all the previous 7 books, but can also be read as standalones as reading each book you get a feel as to where each character slots into the family dynamics.
Once again Melissa Foster has created the perfect formula, a steamy romance with its fair share of drama along the way as we all know life isn't always smooth sailing!
