This review is from: Africa: Crude Continent: The Struggle for Africa's Oil Prize (Paperback)This is an extraordinary book - not least because of the vast scope. It provides a picture of the oil industry throughout the continent, set in historical and political context. It covers not only the well-known areas, such as the Niger Delta, and the well-known multinationals, but also the smaller companies (even the minnows) and the places that have only recently started to show up on the oil industry's radar.
The paperback has an extra chapter in which the author reflects on the reception of the first edition and also surveys recent developments.
