This review is from: Life in the Slow Lane: a patient quest for adventure (Kindle Edition)
I've followed the adventures of the author from his early days on the longboard crossing of Australia, to the ups and downs of dating in London, and was eager to get my hands on the latest instalment.
Life in the Slow Lane did not disappoint. Dave's obvious love of life, his quest for adventure and seize the day attitude are evident throughout, and as infectious as a doctor's waiting room.
This is a book for those who love adventure, those who love to get out there, see the world, take on a new challenge, and more importantly for those who think they never could. This is a wake up call to couch dwellers and materialists everywhere. It was an inspiration to me, even if it is just to put the laptop down, turn the TV off and get out running, bodyboarding, meet more people, enjoy life more, say yes more.
This about self belief, sweat and beards, the kindness of strangers, the joy of the outdoors and most importantly this is a love story.
