This review is from: Dangerous Method [Blu-ray] (Blu-ray)
I am giving this film 2 stars for two simple reasons: 1) Fassbender and Mortensen are excellent in their roles and deliver their parts exceptionally well 2) lovely scenery
Apart from these, there is absolutely nothing else. The story is dull and ordinary and left me with a feeling that the intention was to tell the viewer a lot more but it never quite managed it. Keira Knightley was dreadful as expected. I have always considered her a wooden actress; once again, she didn't prove me wrong. Apart from making a lot of very stupid faces in the first part of the film, she was as dull and unexciting as she normally is in every film. I have said this in my other reviews and I still maintain my extreme curiosity as to why so many directors want to keep casting her in these period roles. Neither her appearance, nor her acting, or lack of it, make her suitable for these parts.
If it wasn't for Mortensen and Fassbender, I would probably suggest this film isn't even worth reviewing. Such a shame that these two talents have been wasted in this unmemorable film.
