This review is from: The Trivium: The Liberal Arts of Logic, Grammar and Rhetoric (Paperback)
Why is the material in this book not in our schools?
Everybody should read this book and then delve deeper into logic, rhetoric and grammar before they even think about learning anything. As a teacher, I am appalled that nobody has mentioned the trivium as a method to help children learn.
The material is dense and I had to look up many terms but it is worth sticking with. The whole point of the trivium is to make all learning more effective and with such a valuable reward, you have to put in the effort.
I cannot recommend this book enough.

Jon Stall says:
look into the Ultimate History Lesson with John Taylor Gatto and you'll begin to understand why the Trivium and Quadrivium of the Seven Liberal Arts was removed from the public education system but curiously left intact in certain elite prep schools and ivy league universities.
