This review is from: Greatest Hits (Audio CD)
Dion & The Belmonts, and Dion when he went solo, were far more popular in the USA than the UK. This cd really does contain their 20 greatest hits. 6 of the songs are credited to "Dion & The Belmonts" including the original version of "Teenager In Love" (covered in the UK by Marty Wilde and Craig Douglas). The other 14 are by "Dion" starting with "Lonely Teenager" in 1960, and ending in 1968 with "Abraham, Martin and John", which Dion was the first to record, and was later recorded by Marvin Gaye and Smokey Robinson among others. The track sequence on this cd is unfortunately haphazard (surely it would have been just as easy, if not easier, for the record company to put the tracks in chronological order?), otherwise I would have given 5 stars.
