5.0 out of 5 stars Topical, funny, inspiring read, 1 May 2014
This review is from: The Vagenda: A Zero Tolerance Guide to the Media (Paperback)
I am a fan of the Vagenda blog and loved this book. It challenges the way you think about women's magazines, makes you laugh, makes you angry and makes you want to change things for the better.

Ladies, here's a crazy idea. Why not stop buying women's magazines whose content you don't agree with? Stop buying women's magazines which focus on celebrities, fashion, hair, make-up, 'how to please your man' - and instead buy The Spectator, The New Statesman, The Economist... which in 30 years I've never seen even one woman on the Tube reading? You buy Hello, OK!, Take a Break, Wedding Hair!, the less ambitious 'Hair!', 'New Nail Polish Colours'... You need to GET A GRIP or we'll keep laughing at you. Talking of which, we launched a new award today - 'Gormless Women of the Month'. The Fawcett Society, needless to say, were worthy winner of the inaugural award.

Have a nice day.
