This review is from: From Nazi Test Pilot to Hitler's Bunker: Fantastic Flights of Hanna Reitsch (Hardcover)
As a book, it's not brilliant. The facts are there, but it doesn't really take off. There is no real sense of time and place. The incredible events are made rather dull by the author.
The subject of the book is (was) an extraordinary person, but not a likeable one. We expect our heros and heroine to be driven people, but the author of this book clearly does not like his subject and she comes across as selfish, and manipulative.
It's a shame, because her achievements were amazing.
