GREAT TRAIN CRIMES,
This review is from: Great Train Crimes: Murder and Robbery on the Railways (Kindle Edition)
Jonathan Oates has written a fascinating book dealing with crimes committed on trains, ranging in date from 1855 up to 1965. There is also a chapter on miscellaneous train crimes from 1897 right up to 2008.
Some of the cases are familiar, such as the Merstham tunnel case of 1905, and the famous case dealing with Mr Briggs and his celebrated hat; but others are less well known, but still of great interest.
Detailed meticulous research enlivens these stories and they certainly make fascinating and absorbing reading.
Well recommended, but perhaps not for a long train journey.
