Colour Blindness - the unwritten code.
This book tells the what, why and how of colour blindness with absolute clarity, even the style of its cover and print of pages leaves you in no doubt of your ability to understand the subject.
Not only do genetics decree if a baby will be boy or girl, but the make up of X and Y chromosomes can indicate inherited normal vision or colour blindness. Now many people think it is only in the eye and hope for it to rectified. Not so.
The diagrams, the traps and possible dangers as set out in the book can guide someone with this disorder to lead a'normal' life provided that they observe their reaction to what is seen and to know that it is different to the majority of the population.
There are work situations that would be barred - like aircraft pilot or using computerised train signals or any instructions that only use colour rather than words.
The more you read the more surprising is the challenge to understand. Naomi Davies does not consider that she is suffering but rather looks for a different approach to the situation. An extremely helpful book which many a parent will welcome.
