A charming book that I haven't read for years,

This review is from: Lulu And The Chocolate Wedding (Paperback)
I remember borrowing this book from my local library when I was nine years old (even though it's intended for younger children) and how engaging it was.
Fast forward sixteen years later when I have an instant brainwave about this book and decide to search online for it.
During my online search, I tried my best to recall the title (Was it 'The Chocolate Bride' or 'The Chocolate Wedding?') and the most accurate result that came up was 'Lulu and the Chocolate Wedding' right here on Amazon. Even though the title differs slightly from when I was a child, it's still the same story.
The most memorable moments of this book are Lulu telling her school friends about her aunt's wedding dress and getting to hold the train, to which one of them questions, "A REAL train?" and Lulu's dream about her frolicking about on a chocolate beach with her little brother, Willy (Particularly the part where Willy falls backwards into a chocolate with a green filling and yelling, "CHOCCI!"). I also vaguely remember the use of speech bubbles throughout this story, thus making it look almost like a comic strip.
The illustrations are cute and the storyline is original and imaginative. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and reminiscing one of the most memorable stories of my childhood. 4/5.
