A Wonderful Album from the Youngest Backstreet Boy,
This review is from: Now Or Never (Audio CD)
A very mature and well thought through album from the youngest of the Backstreet Boys.
It appears that whilst it is ultimately a pop based album with songs such as "Girls in the USA", you can hear the various influences that shall appeal to a large and varied audience.
It has a much more rock edge than what BSB fans may be used to, but it definately still has the soulful BSB-esque ballads such as "Who needs the world" and "Heart without a home" which will ensure that Nick Carter remains every young girls fantasy material.
Yet one could almost mistake Nick for a new Bryan Adams with many songs having a strong rock ballad edge to them such as "I got you" and "Do I have to cry for you". A lot of lovely heavy drums and a strong guitar presence ensure that fans of such acts as The Calling and Avril Lavene shall also find something to their tastes (songs such as "I stand for you" and "Blow your mind") whilst songs such as "Miss America" have a gorgeous sexy soulful feel about them that ensures that Carter exhibits his talents to their full potential.
Highly recommended, a broad width of great songs which deserves much more credit that the Backstreet Boy is likely to get. Nick Carter delivers a mature and outstanding solo album.
