This review is from: Sony Cybershot DSC-RX100 Digital Camera (20.2MP, 3.6x Optical Zoom) 3 inch LCD (Electronics)
had this camera for about a month now. What a real joy to use. There are some clever functions which bring out the absolute best in each image you capture ie can take 6 shots together and overlay them onto each other, to ensure you capture all highlights and lowlights of image. What does that mean? It means the image looks alot more like what you saw than what a normal camera actually captures- which is usually alot less than you see. Also it means you dont have to fiddle around taking several images yourself, with over and under exposure to capture all the details. A great feature which leads to great results. I also like the panaormic function, simply push button, sweep the sceme before you and the camera stiches all images together to create a wide sweeping panaromic shot. You can simply point and shoot here, or it has so many features and settings which you can adapt you wont be lost for ultimate control if you need/want it.

That's interesting. Does it take the 6 images simultaneously i.e. in one shutter actuation, or in 'rapid fire' in which case there would be a risk of movement i.e. shake during the procedure?

Mr. Brian O'Neill says:
It is rapid fire but very rapid. Shake does not seem to affect it, i think it works out what images are blurry and does not use them.
It is a damn clever little chappie.
