My all time Favourite Madonna album,
This review is from: Something To Remember (Audio CD)
Something to Remember is by far my all time favourite Madonna album. It is chilled, laid back and thoughtful, and I love it. My favourite tracks are 'This used to be my Playground' 'Rain' 'Something to Remember' and 'Oh Father'. It is quite a reflective album I feel, and not as loud and obvious as some of her other work. I have always been a big Madonna fan, I totally admire the woman, she is fearless. However, this album shows a gentler side to her, a more likeable persona I think. I like to have it playing when I am in a pensive frame of mind, thinking back over times in my life. It's a dear friend to me, and one I treasure.

I am a long standing Madonna fan since the very beginning of her career when she burst onto the scene. This collection of ballads contained on " Something To Remember " represents some of her very finest work she has ever produced. Stunning tracks like " Take A Bow", " You'll See ", " Live To Tell " " Crazy For You ", " I Want You ", " Forbidden Love ", the wonderful remix version of " Love Don't Live Here Anymore " and of course the absolutely exquisite " This Used To Be My Playground " certainly one of her greatest tracks ever in IMHO.
This is probably my favourite Madonna album and if I could only own one of her albums this would be the one I would choose."Ray of Light " and " Bedtime Stories " would be extremely close runners up.
I have also said that if I could only ever have 10 CD's in my collection ( and I own thousands ) this would be among them. That is how highly I rate the album. As the liner notes say in the booklet " without controversy, without fanfare and without any distraction" just simply a collection of great songs and music.
An absolute must have for any Madonna fans.
