5.0 out of 5 stars Thrilling concert, 9 Jan. 2012
By
This review is from: Bestival Live 2011 (Audio CD)
This concert from 2011 features 32 songs ranging from The Cure's debut album up to the last studio album; with career highlights lighting up the night sky in between. The song quality is excellent. Bring back Boris and it would have been perfect! My only quibble is the rewording of a song to 'Killing Another'. Fantastic value double cd especially when all profits go to charity.
I would love to see a dvd/bray of this concert.

I was there & Jason's drumming was excellent, a DVD would be good though

I've heard the CDs and Jason is not that great. He is just OK keeping the beat but nothing special. And the overall sound leaves a lot to be desired.

It might be just my age and the fact that (to me) the best Cure albums involved Boris. I hear him on Disintegration or Kiss Me and then see Jason doing his version on the 'trilogy' dvd and it just seems emtier if that makes sense.
