Not Secret Anymore,
This review is from: The Secret Sisters (Audio CD)
I saw these two ladies on the BBC breakfast sofa this morning. They sang one song from thier new album, and it sounded like something I used to hear one of my teacher playing at school. There voices are so pure and clear. There is a sense of freshness about them that I have not heard in a while.
Their debut album is a collection of songs that many of a mature nature will instantly recognise. It is a simple album. By today's standards anyway. It is easy on the ear and will no doubt appeal to those who like music from a by gone era that has stood the test of time. There is a growing appreciation for this 'retro' sound amongst younger music lovers. One only has to look at the likes of Lily Allen.
Because of its simplicity and ease, there is however the danger that it will get lost as it is not the type of music that will got the widest playing on radio. However I enjoyed it and I would recommend it.

Mrs. L. A. Henderson says:
I first heard this duo on Jools Holland and liked them, viewed again on the breakfast show which re enforced my opinion. Their own compositions are very good, and the old stuff is just great. Such good harmonies and no studio "enhancement" which is so refreshing.

I too first heard these on Jools Holland and was enchanted. Such beautiful voices. Unfortunately I didn't see them on the breakfast show which I am very disappointed about.
