Not As Slow As People Say,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: SanDisk SDCZ40-032G-U46 32 GB Ultra Back-Up USB 2.0 Flash Drive (Personal Computers)
This isn't the fastest memory stick in the world, but it is far from being as slow as people say it is. My latest transfer of 6.37GB took no more than 12 minutes, so people saying you'd need to "leave it copying overnight" for 10GB is absurd. They must either have seriously slow computers (I only have a 1.8 single core with 2GB RAM) or a faulty product.
Mine didn't come with any U3 software for some reason, but it did come with the backup software which I have to say isn't that bad at all. It's nice to know you've got certain files both backed up and encrypted to prevent theft. I did, however, have to format my memory stick from Fat32 to NTFS simply because my BluRay player wasn't picking up my media files (.mkv videos) up. I'm sure I could find and reinstall the backup software if I wanted to though.
Overall, this memory stick is nowhere near as slow as people say it is, and averages 1MB/s slower write speeds than my old Cruzer Contour (which I loved, but unfortunately broke by hitting it with my chair, now they're £10 more expensive than when I bought mine 1.5 years ago). I've given the product 4/5 stars simply because it's a little bit slower than my old Cruzer, and I'd prefer it to be a little heavier.
