Whatever did happen to Corey Haim?,
This review is from: Let's Bottle Bohemia (Audio CD)
The Thrills are back and sound better than ever. Unlike their debut 'So much for the city' this album comes across better as an album rather than the singles and filler tracks which made up most of their last. Bright and breezy, it makes one think it is summer all over again and having seen them preform live, they're great at putting on a cracking show. Highlights include 'Whatever happened to Corey Haim?' and 'The Curse of Comfort' a strong contender as the next single. Listening to 'Corey Haim' made everyone become more aware of the child star who suddenly disappeared from the limelight. Certainly it made me think where he had got to and I am sure this single attracted a lot of publicity for him. 'The Curse of Comfort' featuring Peter Buck of R.E.M is a delight and just goes to show they are still coming up with catchy but simple tunes unlike other bands who struggle to make a follow up. Overall a superb album and a must buy for everyone to have in their CD collection.
