A fun read but in need of a good editor,
This review is from: The Bloodline Feud: The Family Trade and The Hidden Family (Merchant Princes Omnibus Book 1) (Kindle Edition)
This s an entertaining piece of soft SF which would work better at half the length. At times it reads like an undigested popular economics book - if I really wanted a 'why the US in 2013 is weathier than Russia', I'd read Acemoglu and Robinson. Also Charlie can't write women convincingly, which is a bit of an impediment when your main character is female. A stricter editor, then, would have improved this book significantly.
I'd buy the next volume, but only as plane/train filler reading. Your mileage may, of course, vary...
