Intriguing and Interesting Memoirs of Parenting,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: 100 Little Words on Parenthood (Kindle Edition)
When I heard about the concept I thought 'what a great idea' having many different parents writing 100 words about parenting/events that happened with there chidren. However, having the concept is one thing but putting it all together and making the finished article even better well, that's quite an achievement! The author has bound together many disparate memoirs of 100 word parenting moments to give them an interesting flow. With many contributions from award winning authors to authors just beginning to parents but all having something in common; an interesting 100 words to say on events that happened as a parent. Charlie Plunkett's own contributions of 100 words were often amusing and incisive too.
A lot of humour was apparent throughout, many other emotions too - just great reflections on how it is to be a parent and the many perks of the job. All that love, just for starters. Charlie Plunkett's own I feel this could be great for new parents for a fun and intriguing read to see the enjoyment others have experienced. Yes; put away those guide books and get this!
Another thing I strongly appreciated about this book was the effort the author, Charlie Plunkett, put into researching quotes from many people/authors through the ages to add in at appropriate moments between most memoirs. Really fitted like a glove.
Buy this book if you're an interested parent or curious to have opinions and memories from many different parents.
