For Whom ride the lightning thrashes with each electrical bolt to the senses!,
This review is from: Ride the Lightning (45 RPM Series) [Vinyl] (Vinyl)
Ride the Lightining was a step up in gear as the reviewer says as there second album "Ride The Lightning" set them apart from their debut album in improving upon their lyrics, drum bass and guitar lay outs just listen to the thundering bass lines of Cliff Burton plus the chiming bell nicked off a Black Sabbath song "War Pigs"(RIP on "For Whom The Bell Tolls" coupled with Hatfields singing as if he was close to impending death while "The Call of Ktulu" is another class song of whom's title cropped up from Cliff's love of reading books by Lovecraft as seen and read in Kerrang's special issue of Metallica.
This was to set them up nicely for their third album that would be their masterpiece and last one to feature Cliff Burton!
