It's A Grower,
This review is from: The Bravery (Audio CD)
When I first head An Honest Mistake on the radio I became convinced this band were going to be something special.
I eagerly snapped up the album when it came out but I was really dissapointed with it at first. The first single is without doubt the strongest song on the album and the rest of the album fails to come up to the same standard.
Having said all that if you give it a few listens it does grow on you a bit. I would listen to most of the songs now, though in honesty it isn't an album I have on an awful lot. Swollen Summer is the other really strong song, but in a lot of the songs the lead singer sounds kind of like he's drunk?!? which didn't appeal to me but may to others.
I wouldn't pay full price for this album, but if you can pick it up cheap then what the hey....there's some good songs, but you have to listen over a few times before you come round to it.
