Practical iron, with one design flaw,
This review is from: Breville TECHnique VIN124 Digital 2400 W Steam Iron (Kitchen & Home)
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
Really this is a practical basic steam iron with some fancy features. I liked the long flex and the
comfortable handle, I didn't have to worry about it because it turns itself off after a while if its not used.
Its heavy enough to work as an iron and it does the job.
The fancy bits are the purple exterior, LED temperature display and temperature beep. None of these would
sell me an iron, but they might tempt gadget minded people. The really annoying thing is that the settings
are under the handle, so if you're using the iron you have to squint under the handle/your hand to look at it.
It does have a vertical steam feature which I tried on curtains, it did a reasonable job, but didn't get all the
creases out but this may have been too much to expect. Also, if you use steam the reservoir goes down very quickly
- I did 4 skirts and half a curtain before I had to fill it again.
Overall a good practical iron, one star off for the temperature dial design and having to refill the reservoir.
