This is the best electric toothbrush I've used, before getting it I already used the Braun Oral-B Professional Care 500 Electric Rechargeable Toothbrush Braun Oral-B Professional Care 500 Electric Rechargeable Toothbrush with Precision Clean Brush Headwhich I thought was good, and this is a step up.
There are 3 different brush heads supplied in the package but for laziness when I first tried it out I simply took the brush head from my existing Braun toothbrush and slotted that on, I used the same toothpaste too and when I'd finished my 2 minute clean I could really feel the difference; my gums felt like I'd used a more minty or stronger toothpaste.
There's a built-in pressure sensor with a large red indicator light so prevent you brushing too hard and I was surprised by how many times it was illuminating (every other half second), consequently, this toothbrush has helped me brush my teeth more gently and I still feel I get good results.
After each 30 seconds of use the toothbrush pauses to emit a beep (1 beep at 30 seconds, 2 beeps at 60, 3 beeps at 90 and 4 beeps at 120 - at which point if you carry on brushing it returns to the beginning and counts up from 1 beep again). The beeps are not annoying but having the toothbrush pause is, each beep accounts for about a ¼ second, therefore, 4 beeps means the toothbrush stops brushing for about a second. It's not the end of the world just a little unnecessary.
There are 4 brushing modes; daily, deep, sensitive and polish. The daily mode is the default setting and has no indicator on the handle but the other 3 each has its own. The `deep' is the same as daily but 45 seconds between beeps, the sensitive is slower than the daily, and the polish sounds like an electric motor being revved and changing gear as it continuously goes through 2-second cycles of increasing speed and, without stopping, returning to its start speed again.
It takes all night to charge but a single charge will last for almost 2 weeks of nightly recommended 2 minute brushing times. It comes complete with a stand (necessary for charging) and a slim blue plastic carry case to hold the handle secure and has room for 2 brush heads.
There is more to say but all in all this is an excellent toothbrush and well worth the investment.
