She Knocked It Out of the Park...Again! Well Done!,
This review is from: Someone To Watch Over Me (Audio CD)
Why are we enchanted by this gracious woman? The media insists it is because of her "out of nowhere" story that tugs at the heartstrings. But stories can only sell so much. The reason that Susan Boyle continues to sell albums and sell them in droves is because...she is extremely gifted and her voice is distinctive and unlike any other's voice today. No amount of PR can buy anyone a voice like that. She is actually one of the few celebrities in Great Britain who deserves all the press she gets because she actually HAS talent, she actually CAN sing, she actually IS a musician with a vocal instrument that is sublime. And she isn't a diva. I sometimes blanche at the posturings of certain classical singers in the UK whose singing (now co-opted by the quest for fame) pale in comparison to this unpretentious Scottish woman. As I watch the current series of "X-Factor" unravel with its singer's egos larger than their collective talent (too much larger actually), I am ever grateful for the real stuff. Susan is in a league of her own. And in this new offering, she delivers, yet again. It takes a lot of talent for someone to take a song that had been sung before (as on the covers she does) and make you think you are hearing them for the first time. Her interpretations transport you to another realm and connect you to the world of possibilities. The gift of a musical genius? To take a piece and make it feel like you are hearing it anew. This is the gift of Susan Boyle. Long may she reign. (Gorgeous, Susan,Bravo! Well done!)

Contrary to your views 'we' are not enchanted! It would appear that most are nauseated by her so maintain their counsel by not commenting, or did you fail to notice this moot trend?

Perhaps you would like to see SUBO dressed up as a SUMO those Japanese wrestlers. As SUBO & SUMO both sound alike.
