This review is from: Code: The Hidden Language of Computer Hardware and Software (Paperback)
I read it from cover to cover in a few days and I now have a better understanding of how computers actually work at the hardware level. It's very instructive and fun to read. If I had one criticism, it would be that the last few chapters on high level software stuff are too superficial and don't really belong to this book, but don't let that put you off, it's overall a fantastic book.
