Awesome piece of kit,
This review is from: Neato Robotics XV-25 Pet and Allergy Vacuum (Kitchen & Home)
OK - I am lazy. I work hard and don't have time to keep things as tidy as I would like. I am also a Gadget freak. I got the Neato today and it's my first review on Amazon as I don't usually feel the need to write a 'me too' type review so do remember that.
When you get it, the battery needs to be attached in the back so do take a few minutes (and you will avoid the battery error). Let him charge for a bit and off you go.
The Neato XV-25 is really great. We have 2 cats and they seem to shed hair like there's no tomorrow so when our little robot pal zips round the room its great fun to see. He's quick and tidy, going back to his charge pod when he needs to top up. He picks up a lot and we were really impressed. He coped really well with cables and unusual shaped furniture too.
I was really impressed when he slid right up to my cat and then expertly navigated around him - he handled the dining table and chairs with equal skill. Pretty clever! Whilst the storage is quite small, I do think regular cleaning will mean the volume is far reduced. My skeptical partner just said, "It's nice to see the carpet finally looking clean."
I'd love to give it a 5 but only 4 stars as he does miss the corners and some edges. I think he's going to fit right in but you probably need to modify your routine a little (eg put the strip out, brush or move any dirt from the edges, and move some of the 'confusing' items out of the way).

A recent firmware update has greatly increased my Neato's corner cleaning ability. Although battery time has been reduced as a result of the new behaviour. (Needs to recharge when cleaning upstairs or downstairs now whereas before it did it in one charge.)
