Not that much evidence to support claims,

The book claims to present the scientific evidence on fasting etc. After reading it, I have to think that there isn't actually all that much evidence to support this type of diet. Not saying it doesn't work - I don't know - just saying not much evidence is presented. Most studies are either animal studies or have very small numbers of participants, and no meta-analyses appear to have been conducted. A lot of people seem to feel this works for them and if someone wants to try it, by all means, but the science is only emerging at this point.
Interesting read, if somewhat short on the "meat" (=science).
