Cookery as it should be done,
This review is from: Nigella Bites (Hardcover)
While I agree that "How to Eat" is a probably a better, if heftier, place to start with Nigella, this has quickly become a firm favourite on my shelf. OK, I probably fall into that category of people who think that she's mad for suggesting making orange ice-cream when you come home from work, but what you get from every page of this book is a joy of cooking and an appreciation of what food should be about - comfort, flavour, sharing with friends, without necessarily making a huge production out of the whole thing.
Gorgeously photographed and wittily written, it does exactly what you expect of it, and I wish that all cookery guides were this much fun.
We know the author has an "Amazon habit", so... Nigella, will you marry me?
