Nice tech, but really inaccurate,

I love the idea of Withings Scale, the software is great and the apps are really intuitive. It would be 100% perfect, BUT...
The scales are so inaccurate. Stepping on the scales 4-5 times in a row, with them in the same position, gave a difference of about 2kg (4lbs). So, it's impossible to track weight loss as they're only accurate to about 2kg - which is quite a lot when looking at a weekly track of weight.
One day it may say 95kg, then get in it immediately 97kg.
Technology is awesome, the scales themselves useless. The forums are also littered with people having the same issue, so it isn't a faulty scale.

Desperate Golfer says:
unusually for me I bought this on impulse without looking at consumer reviews first. It has been afrustrating couple of hours getting this to work to load details for myself and my wife into the website (which is poorly designed and often does no work) the Android app crashes after about 15 seconds of use so I probably won't be using that much either.
Right now I have just about got it working and data for both of us transfered via wifi..... although like others here the weight displayed varies greatly every reading even if only a few minutes apart. It really is a great idea to have the data sync to your PC and/or phone. And it seems possible to link a BP monitor as well. This is exactly what I wnat, sadly the execution is not as good as the idea behind it. I will keep trying (after all it has cost me a lot of money) but I have already lost confidence in it as if the website is poorly designed and the weight readings not accurate hen what else is wrong?
