This is a book on building a strong base and foundation, but in reality it includes all sections of training. The main focus is on strength and mass, with main concepts being consistency, not failing reps and focusing on the big picture. Sticks to basic exercises with a good attitude. I am not a big fan of Paul Carter's LRB blog, but this book is excellent - well written and to the point, with a good attitude and a lot of good content.
On a side note, having read books like 5/3/1 and The Cube Method, which both come off as having been written by a teenager, it is refreshing to read a book with a focus on basics that has a mature attitude.
