A vapid, insipid, and ultimately prosaic read that offers little or no insight beyond what's already know or readily available. The books as bland as the main protagonist, but sadly as the chapters unfurl this doesn't come as a surprise. Being at the epicentre of everything thing defines our wonderful culture, and the embodiment of Welsh aspiration its unimaginable that Sam et al have contrived to produce such a languid tomb, other than avarice. They should have called the book "nausea and boredom in Rhiwbina". It pains me to say this as a rabid Welsh rugby fan, but simply spend your money on Brian Moore's insightful, provocative and touching autobiography. That's right, arguably the most divisive commentator/player this country has produced has a story to tell that's worthy of your time and money.
