I have to say that I thought this book was just ok.
To be fair I paid £1.80 for it on kindle and for £1.80 I was pleased for that price! My issue with the book was the much hyped "big reveal on about page 70". Yes it was an interesting twist but the hype spoilt it for me. I read it and a few pages later thought "oh, was THAT the reveal?".
The first few chapters are a bit self-indulgent and I found it hard to keep going. This may be because I read it in shorter bursts and I think to really understand Rosemary and to get through the first few chapters you need to read in longer chunks. The characters, initially, are not that sympathetic.
That said once I got more into the book I found it interesting and a good story. I did feel that the changes of Rosemary/the authors voice between the story and scientific research a bit odd. Whilst all the information was needed for the story I felt it could have been better written in parts and jumped a bit too much for me. I wasn't sure if Rosemary was telling me this information or Karen (as it lacked the character driven presentation of the scientific research).
An good story that deals with some very interesting issues, but it's not amazing.
