This review is from: Postwar: A History of Europe Since 1945 (Paperback)Judt is a fabulous writer and i bought this paperback with keen anticipation. However it is printed so poorly in type so tiny that I was simply incapable of reading it. This edition does not do credit to a great and much missed author.

coudn't agree more!! Bought it for my father-in-law and don't feel like I can give it to him. The print is so small he won't be able to read it. What a great shame!

Yes, absolutely. These worn-out eyes were kaput after the first chapter. The hardbound edition is presumably legible, I may order a used copy in hopes I can read it. Meanwhile, as a rule of thumb, you are to be congratulated for pointing this out. And those of us still reading ink on paper need to identify these editions which are impossible under the heading, "Beware Typeface!" for ease of reference and give the victimized book one star. Alas, my copy was a gift and I dare not say what the problem was....
Note to Amazon: book statistics should henceforth include a reference to size of typeface.
