This review is from: The Wartime Scrapbook - from Blitz to Victory 1939 - 1945 (Hardcover)
This book was advertised as new, but was not cellophane wrapped as others in the series, which we had bought previously, had been. It was also damaged, and from the look of the packaging, this had happened before posting. This was all particularly "disappointing" as (a) the book had been bought as a present and (b) the price paid was significantly more than the cover price.

Mr. A. E. Malliff says:
This is not a review of the book, this is a complaint about your experience from the seller, this is not the place for making these sorts of comments, as it has nothing to do with the content of the book.. You should save this sort of rubbish for customer service.

Price? Packaging? What has this got do with the book itself? How is a potential buyer, myself, supposed to make an informed decision about the quality of this book from this review? And the overall rating of the book has thus been lowered as a result of a review that should not have been put on Amazon. Thankfully only one person has put 1 star on this book and thus it is easy to see from other reviews that this is a good book.

H. Jones says:
Problems with the packaging? Get in touch with Amazon instead of whining on a review page. You are pathetic and simply don't understand the point of reviews in the first place.

To H. Jones, and Mr A.E. Maliff.
Bit harsh, dears. The OP might not understand the review system, and how it works. A more constructive approach might have been to explain to the OP the difference between rating a seller and rating a product. Are words like 'rubbish', 'pathetic' and 'whininig' really helping? Dearie me.
And father2, you can make an 'informed decision' by reading other reviews. The OP has a right to his/her opinion, but I'm sure that you'd always read several reviews anyway.
I feel for the original poster - too much vitriol and not enough understanding in the world.....
